Unity Grief Support Group
meeting on Sunday, March 6 at 12:15 pm
Unity Grief Support Group
To honor those who have transitioned and to honor the feelings of those of us who knew them, we will be offering a Grief Support Group. This is not limited to supporting those who knew the Unity folks who recently transitioned, it is in support of anyone who is experiencing grief in any way and would like to meet in a safe, loving, and spiritual group to be able to express their feelings or just be a part of the group energy.
Jacque Tatum and Phyllis Shepard will hold the first meeting on Sunday, March 6, 2022, immediately following the service - starting at 12:15 pm. It will be held in the Sanctuary at the church and on the Sunday Service Zoom link. (see below)
Jacque is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and mental health practitioner. Her experience of more than 40 years has included various settings, e.g., hospice, community mental health settings, developmental disabilities, and the Florida prison system. She also developed, owned, and operated five homes for the handicapped for ten years. She has been a member of Unity of Gainesville, FL since 1982, and of Unity churches since 1980. At the same time, she also became a lifetime student of A Course In Miracles.
Phyllis is an ordained minister (through the Metaphysical Academy in Tampa, FL in 1996) and a credentialed Ho’oponopono practitioner with a BA in Psychology and an MA in Counselor Education. Her varied experience in both work and volunteer settings include being a mental health counselor in the Army (for 3 years active duty and 7 years Reserve) and for the Florida prison system (12 years). She has been a member of Unity of Gainesville, FL since 1989 (and of Unity churches since 1976).
Anyone is welcome to join in person or by Zoom (same link as for the Sunday Service).
