About the Facilitator:
Carla Palmer is an ordained interfaith minister and licensed Unity teacher. She has taught on many levels throughout her careers. She was an environmental educator training high school teachers, a professor of environmental engineering, and now a Unity spiritual teacher and companion. She studied native American shamanism with her Apache teacher of fourteen years and loves to lead sacred ceremonies. Collaborating with creative people is one of her favorite things to do. |

Spiritual Book Study Group Thursdays - 7:00-8:30 pm on Zoom - Summer 2023 read: "The Bhavagad Gita" Translated by Eknath Easwaran - Beginning May 4th (to August 31) Facilitator: Carla Palmer, Licensed Unity Teacher The ‘Gita’ is one of the oldest scriptures known. Carla has facilitated this book many times for Unity Worldwide Ministries in Spiritual Education and Enrichment classes. She has been quoted as saying, “Summer without the Gita just isn’t summer.” • Come experience how this ancient story has influenced the New Thought movement and why it has been a spiritual guide for many world leaders in modern times. Both the Mahatma, Mohandas Ghandi and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. are said to have read from its pages daily and used it to guide them in their non-violent causes. • You will want to be a part of this summer’s read, when we meet on Zoom and form a community of “Truth Finders.” The group is facilitated by Carla Palmer, Licensed Unity Teacher, philosopher and public speaker. There are no fees for this group but love offerings to Unity of Gainesville are greatly appreciated. All are welcome. Zoom link is provided on the right.
