Have you been curious about some of the language we use in our practice of Unity principles? Perhaps you have wondered about the origins or deeper meanings behind some of these words and phrases. And did you know that there are some in Unity who do not approve of using certain of these words and phrases? And why?
If you are interested in any of this information please join Steve Greenough on Zoom on Monday evenings, 7-9 PM for a 5-week class entitled “The Language of Unity,” beginning Nov 30 and continuing on Dec 7, 14, 21, and 28.
Using the book How to Speak Unity by Temple Hayes, as a point of departure, we will explore other writings for additional language and, where appropriate, how some in Unity feel about it. Our purpose is not to change minds but merely to inform so students can make their own decisions.
If you wish to join this class, please let Steve know as soon as possible at firstname.lastname@example.org or 352 415-5728. Please include an E-mail address or other contact information. Once you sign-up you will receive a syllabus for the class. There is no charge for this class but if you choose to make a love offering, the church will receive 100% of that.
Due to the difficult logistics surrounding the church closure, you are asked to order your own book. You can order either new or used books through Amazon at a relatively good price. It may take 10 days or so to receive your book. If you need assistance with this process please call the church at 352-373-1030 and Barbara, the church administrator, will respond to your message promptly.
I hope you’ll join us for this very informative class.
PS- Let me know ASAP if you wish to join the class.
PPS- Remember to order your book!
